You need a funeral plan

At your funeral, you are only in charge when you plan in advance. A basic funeral  cost plan can be completed in a few hours or days, filled in or changed over time, as necessary—like updating an insurance policy. A simple plan and a few choices made in advance can save your family and loved ones hundreds or thousands of dollars. The words in advance are the key to maximizing savings on a funeral.

As President of You plan in advance, you make business decisions every day, some of which affect your life dramatically. If you’ve purchased life or auto insurance, you already know why the words “in advance” are important. A plan in advance allows you to look around to obtain the best benefits at the least cost. It gives you greatest control over the results. The purchase of a funeral and funeral-related products is a series of business decisions with a heavy emotional component. These choices should be separated as much as possible from the date of the need in order to be thought through clearly.

You probably will need to focus on the business end of a funeral only a few times in your life. So, it may seem like another part of the pain that comes with the territory. (Just let me sign this contract, with these prices I haven’t discussed much with anyone, and get it over with. Maybe it’ll come out of the insurance or the estate—I can’t deal with this, too. If this is what it costs, this is what it costs. I loved ______.) Perhaps you thought you were limited to a choice among “complete” packages offered by the funeral home
