
A Virginia Funeral Home is being sued for 60 Million Dollars for Abusing the Corpse of a Military Veteran.
Breaking News-The Family of the Veteran whose body was abused at National Funeral Home in Falls Church VA, has sued. The Veteran in question served in three wars. According to the Associated Press the lawsuits said the body was “defiled, degraded, humiliated and debased” The lawsuits come to a total of 60 million dollars.

“The body of Maj. Richard Morgan was left from November to February in a light oak coffin in the garage at SCI’s central care facility, located in the same building as National Funeral Home, according to current and former employees who saw the coffin and the body inside.”
According to an April 7th Washington Post article:
“Richard Morgan Jr., a Harrisonburg, Va., criminal defense attorney……said his father’s body was “defiled” because it was left to rot on a garage rack, a possible felony”
National Funeral Home and Service Corporation International(nyse:sci) are named as defendants in the suit according to the AP.
This is truly a sad situation for the family and the already battered funeral industry. It is a reminder to the consumer that they should always check up on the funeral home they have a contract with.
This is a disgraceful way to treat our military.
