Funeral Scandals need to be reported in order to save you money
Funeral scandals need to be reported because it helps the consumer come in under the average cost of a funeral. It also makes the consumer aware of ways they can keep funeral directors honest. Researching funeral scandal is quite a boring task . The bottom line is funeral scandals are good for you if are not a victim.
Service Corporation has had an extraordinary amount of scandals this year. There are excellent SCI Funeral Directors out there. Some are my friends. Reports in the press and other places indicate a corporate cultural problem at SCI. It may be in the core culture of SCI Management.
The problem some believe goes to the outdated business model as reflected in recent numbers. The problems need to continue to be reported and brought to public and funeral directors attention.
It will be a great day when the company corrects the problem or funeral directors through self or State Regulators make the corrections needed.

#1 Funeral Corporation in the world mishandles the dead again | Avoid this logo
The World’s Largest Funeral Corporation has been caught mistreating the dead, AGAIN. This time NYSE:SCI did not have the person in the right grave. The family had been grieving at the marked grave site. Only problem the family’s loved one was not there in the grave. This all happened at Dade Memorial Park, near Miami and reported at palmbeachpost.com
Snippet:
“Friday, May 22, 2009
For years, they visited the wrong grave and didn’t know.
The family of Jose Herrera Sr. traveled from their Lake Worth home to Miami often, carrying small Cuban flags and Yankee memorabilia to leave for him in Dade Memorial Park.
They prayed to him and cried to him and when his wife, Rosa, died two years ago, they promised to bury her next to him.
That’s when, the family says, park officials told them they didn’t know where Herrera’s body was.
“It was just a disgusting feeling knowing he wasn’t there,” said his granddaughter, Alicia Herrera. “To this day we don’t know if there was someone else there.”
This is all part of a pattern of Service Corporation International mistreating the dead in 2009.

Since President Obama has become Banker in Chief, Investment Planner in Chief, Car Salesman in Chief, Why Shouldn’t he be Health Care Manager in Chief and Funeral Director in Chief?
If the Funeral Industry crashes will President Obama give a bailout? Probably not to Service Corporation International....Close ties to the Bush Administration.
How can one guy be so many chiefs?
