Star Legacy Caskets Good service|Your Funeral Guy

Yesterday I had occasion to help a friend order a Star Legacy Casket Over the internet. I had occasion act as an advocate at a Funeral Arrangement for a friend’s son.

The Star Legacy Network people were very kind and helpful.

Excellent Caskets can be advertised on the Internet for a good price.

The Funeral Home involved  did not object to the third party casket. Karen the customer service rep- professional and compassionate..

Star Legacy caskets are the supplier to Walmart. Walmart the world’s largest retailer is selling Caskets online.

A Casket on sale at Walmart for less than $1000 USD

Connecting Directors.com and the Funeral Consumers Alliance are saying that the sale of third party & Walmart Caskets are causing funeral homes to raise their prices on their basic service fee.

The walmart casket purchase has the funeral industry up in arms. Finally after 17 years some funeral homes appear to be embracing third party caskets. This can be seen as good for the funeral consumer and coming in under the average cost of a funeral.

But at the same time many of these funeral homes are raising their  basic service fees to compensate. Connecting directors.com is advocating this-essentially consumer rip off while the Funeral Consumers Alliance  is reporting it as not a helpful thing to those who want to save on Funeral Expenses.

One thing is certain purchasing a casket at walmart will contribute to openness and honesty in the Funeral Industry.

Take note the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)has recently ruled that you can negotiate the basic services fee on alternative services. o this and you will come in under the average cost of a Funeral.

Funeral directors willingly accepting third party caskets and raising their basic service fee is significant funeral news.

Some think it is a Halloween joke. Others think Wal-Mart is selling Chinese caskets. The Star Legacy Caskets are made in America.  Funeral directors are saying it will not work, and to follow their expert advice and use their funeral home instead. The new president of the (NFDA)National Funeral Directors Association  Pat Lynch argued this incorrectly.

Some funeral directors are even suggesting that Wal Mart is selling pre need illegally because folks are given the option to pay over 12months. Walmart is not selling funeral services. The only ones selling preneed illegally are funeral directors, through the IFDA, NPS, and other insurance scams, and simple theft.

Many state that Walmart  “in death do us part” is just the 100 billion plus company  under pricing another American Institution, the Funeral home. Many consumers around the country were very happy with low priced caskets at the country’s largest retailer stating that they are upset about being ripped off by “the American Way of Death”. Some of the consumers have gone as far as to call Wal-Mart heroic for selling Caskets. I agree with the heroic part.

Wal-Mart casket sales have roots in employee benefit program. The company supplying Caskets to the retailer Walmart also supplies Caskets in the employee benefit program.

The company Star Legacy Caskets in McHenry, Il hopes to establish a network o Funeral Homes and make it available to Walmart Employees.
