LA To pay for Michael Jackson Funeral
The Mayor of Los Angeles has stated that the city will pay for the Michael Jackson Funeral Security. The Mayor essentially had no choice but not to charge the Michael Jackson Family. The city did not notify the family in advance that they would be charged. The city of Los Angeles did supply Funeral Security at the Staples Center, as well as security for Funeral Processions(closing highways etc)
Concerning Funeral Security, motorcades, processions and escorts:
Many times the municipality or government authority often has regulations on funeral motorcades. Some cities provide this as a service. Some local governments require that the family pay for the service. Some states and local governments do not allow escorts. It all depends on the location. In the case of the Michael Jackson Funeral it appears that LA had no firm policy in place.
