It appears that Celebrity Death has gone too far-This is evidenced by the Death of the young starlet  Brittany Murphy.

Has our thirst for celebrity death gone too far wth the death of Brittany Murphy.

It has been  all too much for American’s Perception of Death and bloggers on the Internet. Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Billy Mays,  John Hughes, Ted Kennedy… all have been changed in death because of the internet and twitter.

“….. you’d think the whole of “Who’s Who” had vanished in a single gigantic puff of glittery smoke. You can’t really blame CNN or TMZ or the army of bloggers who host these elaborate public wakes: They’re simply giving us what we want. We don’t just grieve for celebrities anymore; we indulge in orgies that turn the dead into the people we need them to be so we can assuage our anxieties about death, both our own and America’s. Do not ask for whom the blog tweets; it tweets for thee”via www.esquire.com

President Obama let Kennedy Speak to Congress from grave via letter

President Obama let Kennedy Speak to Congress from grave via letter

President Barack Obama  let Senator Ted Kennedy speak from the grave on 9.09.09. This is the second time Kennedy spoke from the Grave.  First he spoke through a letter at a  Arlington grave side funeral service via letter to the Pope. 2nd he spoke in a letter given to Obama after his death. Portions of  that  letter were read during Obama’s speech before Congress on Tuesday night.

Here is what Obama said via the Huffington Post:

I received one of those letters a few days ago. It was from our beloved friend and colleague, Ted Kennedy. He had written it back in May, shortly after he was told that his illness was terminal. He asked that it be delivered upon his death.

In it, he spoke about what a happy time his last months were, thanks to the love and support of family and friends, his wife, Vicki, and his children, who are here tonight . And he expressed confidence that this would be the year that health care reform – “that great unfinished business of our society,” he called it – would finally pass. He repeated the truth that health care is decisive for our future prosperity, but he also reminded me that “it concerns more than material things.” “What we face,” he wrote, “is above all a moral issue; at stake are not just the details of policy, but fundamental principles of social justice and the character of our country.”

This was indeed a sad thing. The President of the United States using a Senator  in the grave to sell his Health Care Plan.

Senator Ted “Edward”Kennedy Funeral update- There will be only Four of Five Living Presidents at the Ted Kennedy Funeral Mass on Saturday. Reports state that Bush 41, George H W Bush will not able to make the trip.

President Obama will give a eulogy at the Funeral

From blog.taragana.com

“A spokesman for Bush said Friday that he and his wife, Barbara, decided not to attend Kennedy’s funeral after learning their son, former President George W. Bush, would attend.

Jim McGrath says the 85-year-old Bush feels his son’s presence would “amply and well represent” the family Saturday.”
